Summer Youth Organized Pickup Games

Can we register for the whole summer's worth of organized pickup games?

Yes, however we release month by month. Please attend any sessions you are registered for. Registrations go live for the next month on the 25th of the previous month. 

Are there goalies in the 8u Pickup games? 

We will have gear prepared for use at each rink, individuals wanting to play goal will have to go to front desk and request gear and leave their contact information with front desk attendant. 

WILL there be half boards for 8u pickup games? 

No. There will be border patrols separating both sides of the ice. 

what is cost for goalies at 10u, 12U, 14u, highschool? 

Goalies skate for free, but we ask goalies to attend the sessions they are registered for. If they can NOT make it, then please notify the league so we can open up their spot for other kids. 

what color jersey should my child wear? 

Bring both Red and White to the bench. If you don't have a red or white, just bring what you have and a coach will assign you to a team.

Is there checking in these games? 

No, there is no checking in these games. Competitive contact is okay, however due to the fact that there will be a lot of different level players in these sessions. Overly aggressive players will be removed from future sessions without refund if necessary.  These are friendly games meant to keep everyone sharp over the summer.

Will there be referees in the games? 

No, there will not be officials. There will be a coach on the ice and bench to help manage the players and keep the ice time as equitable as possible.

I Signed up for a session, but i can't make it. What do i do? 

Email cindy.zijlstra@polaricenc.com so we can get you off the roster for that session and open the spot for another possible skater. We do not refund missed sessions, but will credit a session if notified 24 hours prior.

What age group should my kid play? 

Click here - The link leads to USA Hockey's age classification chart. Your child should play in the division that they will play in the upcoming Fall season. 

Can my child play up an age group? 

We discourage the idea of playing up, and only in some cases should it be permitted.

Where do we go when we arrive at the rink? 

Your child will need to check in at front desk prior to going to the locker room.
