2018 Spring Season Playoff Breakdown

Playoff Seeding

- All seeding will be based on regular season standings

- Odd team Divisions will be seeded by win percentage

- First Round opponents will be determined June 3 (Last Games)

- Higher seeded teams will receive rink preference

Overtime Protocol

- One 5min Run-Time 5 on 5 Sudden Death OT Period (Last Minute Stop-Clock)

- 5 Player Shootout (Home team chooses who goes first)

- Sudden Death Shootout (Must go through entire roster before repeat players can shoot)


10U Playoff Breakdown

The playoffs will be a single elimination format. The three winners from the Quarter-Finals will advance to the Semi-Finals. The highest seeded loser from the Quarter-Finals will also join the winners in the Semi-Finals. That team will become the lowest seed in the Semi-Finals despite end of season ranking. The other two losers from the First Round will play a Consolation Game on Sunday. The winners from the Semi-Final Games will play in the Championship game on Sunday. See below for schedule.

Quarter- Final Game: Friday, June 8 @ 5:45pm in Cary
Quarter-Final Game: Friday, June 8 @ 6:15pm in Garner
Quarter-Final Game: Friday, June 8 @ 6:30pm in Wake Forest

SEMI-FINALS
Semi-Final Game: Saturday, June 9 @ 3:15pm in Cary
Semi-Final Game: Saturday, June 9 @ 4:30pm in Cary

CONSOLATION
Consolation Game: Sunday, June 10 @ 11:15am in Cary

CHAMPIONSHIP
Championship Game: Sunday, June 10 @ 11:30am in Wake Forest

The playoffs will be a single elimination format. Teams will go straight to Semi-Final Games where the two winners will play in the Championship Game and the two losers will play in a Consolation Game the following day. See Schedule Below.

12U Playoff Breakdown

The playoffs will be a single elimination format. There will be one Play-In game scheduled prior to the First Round where the 4th seed will play the 5th seed. The winner will move on as the lowest seed in the Semi-Finals. The loser will wait to play in both consolation games against the two losers from the Semi-Final Games. The winners from the Semi-Final Games will play in the Championship Game. See Schedule Below.

U14 Playoff Breakdown

The playoffs will be a single elimination format. There will be one Play-In game scheduled prior to the Quarter-Finals where the 6th seed will play the 7th seed. The winner will move on as the lowest seed in the Quarter-Finals. The loser will play two consolation games against the two lowest seeded Quarter-Final losers. The three winners from the Quarter-Finals will advance to the Semi-Finals. The highest seeded loser from the Quarter-Finals will also move on to the Semi-Finals. That team will become the lowest seed in the Semi-Finals despite end of season ranking. The two lowest seeded losers from the Quarter-Finals will play a Consolation Game against the Play-In loser.
